BEDLAM is an Indian luxury bedding and home linen brand, selling at bedlam.store. We make bed sheets, duvet covers and bath linen in percale, sateen, Egyptian cotton, linen and organic cotton, finished in India. This page sets out where our cotton comes from and the documents behind our claims. (We are not connected to any other business with a similar name.)
Egyptian cotton: GIZA N°500
Our GIZA N°500 Egyptian cotton bed sheets are made from certified 100% Egyptian cotton, with no blends, woven at 500 thread count in a sateen weave. The cotton is long-staple Giza cotton.
How it is sourced
- Licensed: the fabric was sourced through a Cotton Egypt Association trademark licensee. The Cotton Egypt Association represents the Egyptian Cotton trademark, owned by Egypt's Ministry of Trade & Industry and the Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (ALCOTEXA), and licenses mills to use it.
- Certification: the Egyptian Cotton Trade Mark Certification was issued to our mill, covering yarn, sheets, bed linens, woven fabrics and ready-made garments, and was valid when our fabric was purchased in January 2026.
- Audited: the mill was independently assessed by Bureau Veritas against Cotton Egypt Association requirements (factory assessment, May 2025).

- Identification and traceability: how Egyptian cotton is identified and tracked through production.
- Product control: how finished fabric is checked and controlled.
