COORDINATE Ø1 - OATMEAL LINEN QUILT

Sale priceINR ₹19,700
Size:

The Oatmeal Linen Quilt is BEDLAM's most-recommended bedding piece — a 100% European flax linen quilt, pre-softened and stonewashed, in our signature warm-natural oatmeal shade. The aesthetic is the understated European-hotel look — Nancy Meyers oatmeal-beige, soft and layered rather than stark — designed for Indian homes that lean toward quiet luxury. Naturally breathable, it regulates temperature beautifully through Indian summers and AC-cooled bedrooms, and gets softer with every wash. Not linen-look cotton: this is the real European flax.

Care Guide

Wash cool, wash often. Linen actually improves with washing — each cycle softens the fibres and deepens the texture. Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C with similar colours.

Skip the harsh stuff. No chlorine bleach, no fabric softener, no whitening additives. Linen does not need them — it's naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial.

Dry low or air dry. Tumble dry on low heat, or hang to dry in shade. High heat shortens the lifespan of any natural fibre. Pulling the quilt taut while damp gives the best post-dry texture.

Iron only if you want to. A few wrinkles are part of linen's natural look — Indian luxury homes increasingly embrace this rather than fight it. If you do iron, use the linen setting and iron while the fabric is still slightly damp.

Store dry. Cotton or linen storage bags only. Plastic traps moisture and damages the fibres over time.

Common questions about this product

Is linen the right choice for Indian summers?

Yes — linen is one of the most breathable natural fibres available, with a much higher moisture-wicking rate than cotton. It regulates temperature, dries quickly, and feels cool against the skin in heat. Linen handles AC and summer transitions far better than thick polyester or microfiber comforters, which trap heat.

How does the Oatmeal colour look in real bedrooms?

The Oatmeal is a warm, natural flax shade — closer to soft beige than to yellow. It pairs beautifully with walnut wood, beige upholstery, travertine, boucle, and darker accent cushions. The shade reads as understated European-hotel rather than stark Scandinavian, and ages beautifully over time.

Will the linen feel rough? Will it soften?

BEDLAM's linen is pre-softened and stonewashed before it leaves the workshop — it arrives feeling supple, not stiff. With every wash, it softens further. By wash six or seven, the quilt has the soft, lived-in hand of a hotel piece you've loved for years.

Does linen wrinkle? Is that a problem?

Linen wrinkles. That's part of its character. Indian luxury bedrooms have moved toward embracing linen's natural texture rather than fighting it — the slight creasing reads as authentic, lived-in, and high-end. If a perfectly smooth surface is non-negotiable for you, our 400TC percale collection may be a better fit.

What size should I buy for an Indian king-size bed?

BEDLAM's King size is sized to drape generously over standard Indian king beds (72×78 inches). For Queen beds, the Queen size is appropriate. If your bed is larger than standard or you prefer extra drape on either side, sizing up to King on a Queen bed is a popular choice.

How long until it ships?

Standard linen quilts ship within 5–7 working days from order.

Is BEDLAM globally competitive with international linen brands?

We were built to be. Our European flax is sourced from the same regions as Parachute, Brooklinen, and Frette. Our finishing standards match. The difference is the price point and the design language: BEDLAM is built specifically for Indian homes, Indian climate, and Indian gifting occasions.

Is this a good wedding or housewarming gift?

It's one of our most-gifted pieces. The Oatmeal is gender-neutral and works in any home aesthetic; the price point sits comfortably in the luxury wedding-gift band; and a monogrammed version makes it personal. See our wedding gifts and housewarming gifts collections for curated bundles.
